An Italian, Nadia received her Professorship (Kanban) in 1989 from two top Japanese kimekomi doll schools in Tokyo, namely, Kyugetsu and Miyabi. She is trained to give instructions and legally authorized to give teacher's certificates from these schools.

She also holds a Professor-3rd Grade certificate (sokakan) from the Ikenobo School in Kyoto. She has taught flower arrangement and silk-flower making for many years in adult education centers in Virginia and also at the Smithsonian Institute in D.C.
